Holds up rear hatch?

What are those shock looking things that hold up hatch? I think they are gas filled. Can anyone give me replacement info?

Yup, they're gas-filled and available at most parts stores. Got mine at Kragen; they looked up the p/n for my '95 and handed me the right ones. Be sure to replace both of them, and have a friend or a 2x4 to hold the hatch up when you change them out. Be careful - that rear hatch is heavy!

Merc,

first, where are you in VA?

second, they are twenty each at pepboys. Make sure to get the hex driver to take the bolts loose. The allen wrench driver will strip them.
