high idle

this has probably been done to death. my 98 gc 4.0 started idling real high. un hooked the tps and it settled down. do you think the tps is bad

When my tps went on my 98 zj it would start start but idle ruff and die and the transmission would not want to shift out. It wouldnt hurt to pull your tps and check it for wear though
