It's not that they are ugly, it's that they are poor quality, don't have enough mounting points, LEDs are crap and stop working quickly, the light pattern sucks, the high beam can't be aimed separately and it's off from the low. Plus the high beam is more of a pencil spot light thana headlight.

In other words, they're junk.

Now, back to real hid conversion talk.

So you mean completely clear with no divets like the stock lens? Because my stock are still pretty clear, but they've got the bumps in them.

The fluted lens is designed to scatter and diffuse the light of stock bulbs. Won't work with projectors. Needs to be clear.

That's what I thought. What about just regular 9004 lights? Can it be clear or is that gonna draw unneeded attention?

the clear housings don't have very good patterns, even with 9007 bulbs unfortunately.

Which retrofit kit did you go with? The link isn't working anymore, and I can't seem to match the pictures of your projector with any current offerings. Perhaps yours is now an older version?

I'm guessing it's an earlier version morimoto. Is it a H1 or D2S?

Rat monkey is no longer with us, if you were referring to him.

Wow, I'm sorry to hear that. I wasn't looking at name tags, I see it now.
