I tried HID's in my 05 Wrangler, and the results were awesome I could see down the road excellent, but the glare was to much to bare and I was pissing a lot of people off with them. I lowered them, swapped the H4 housings to IPF vs Delta Quad Bar's and the results were the same on-coming traffic can't see a darn thing when coming at you on a two lane road! I still have my ballast installed in my Wrangler and when I go off-road I stick in the HID's but on the road I couldn't take the beeping, middle fingers, and glares from the cops so I removed them for highway use. My friend runs around town in his Jeep with HID's but I fear a big old ticket in his future.

BTW I got my HID Kit for 50.00 and it wasn't bad at all. The lower the K the more light you'll have. I started with 8K and ended up with 6K and I think 6K or 4.3K is the way to go.

Can you not tilt the actual housing down enough to get rid of this problem? Id like to get HIDs but i dont want to be a jack@ss...

I used washers behind the two top mounts (on a wrangler the actual light frame is held by three bolts two at the top and one at the bottom) and that didn't work for me as far as the glare was concerned. It did lower the beam pattern, but it did nothing for the glare. I had a friend drive my Jeep and pass me and it was like being passed by a 737 with it's landing lights on = not good for on-coming traffic.

best thing to do when getting getting hid's is to get the clear euro style housings...thet offer a better beam pattern (nothing compares to projectors...the true way to run hid's). I have the 9004 hi and low beams and the h3's in my fogs.
