I think a race zj would be sweet. A stroked 4.6 or 4.7 with a turbo would be the chit. Strip it add locked 8.8 and cage it. How much does a stock zj weigh anyways?

I told him. Gut the interior. Throw a cage together stiffen the unibody throw in some sweet stuff. A locked 8.8 out back and some 4.56s

I think 4.56s would be a bit much for a street rod

You should remove that bumper and pop out that little dent in the fascia.

I like where your going with the black grill and wheels (i jut did my grill not to long ago) Darkening your taillights and corner lights would make it look great.

I think you should keep it stock height and like everyone else said make it fast. I think a fast, blacked out zj with a steel bush bar would look amazing. Maybe get some wider tires or wheel spacers would work if your keeping it strictly on the streets.

I'm building a white 5.9 for with more of a street-oriented setup right now. Next project is an 8.8 swap, not sure what to do about gears or a locker though. Feel free to check out my build thread for ideas.

thanks for the input..

Starting slow, I did the accell ignition, bushings for sway and end links. I need to do all my ball joints next i think. Jeep is drifting in the dead spot in the steering. Thinking about redoing the steering gear. I did dynomax cat back and flowmaster high flow cat. Painted them with layers of black ceramic paint. Spectre Intake is perfect for me. Id love it to be tighter for sure. Lighting is on the way.

In looking at the header, it looks like the intake manifold needs to come off too. That being said, If I do go with 99 intake manifold, will I have clearance issues with the ebay headers?
