Help me decide!

So I purchased some BFG 245/75R16 yesterday and I'm just not happy with them. I wanted more of a drastic upsize because they don't look all that much bigger than stock. The guys at Discount tire said I could exchange them out for 265/75R16 for only $20 a tire. I know rubbing might be more of an issue, but for what I use the Jeep for I'm really not too worried about that. Would you guys do it, I'm kind of mad at myself for buying the smaller size. Before anyone says to go with 265/70R16 I know about that too but I still think its not big enough. I don't mind the $20 per tire, thats not a deal breaker.

Thanks!
-Reid

The 265's will rub to much even when not offroading with a 2"BB.

Get 265/70-16's They are as wide as a 32" tire but are only ~31" tall...

So the consensus here is that 265/75R16 are too big? What would I have to do to the WJ to make them fit/not rub?

4" of lift, + minor bumper trimming.

Those tires are really that much bigger huh? I thought just an inch taller and wider wouldn't make that much difference. Maybe I'll just leave it how it is now then.

If I do go larger, are extended bumpstops needed? I opted not to get these when I put on my BB because I heard they were unneccesary.

Update:

So I just went outside and turned the wheels to full lock. I'm pretty close to rubbing the fender liner in front of the tire, and about 1 1/2" from the lower control arm in the back on the other side. Thats with no flex. Am I crazy to even be considering this, or is trimming it no big deal? Maybe I'll go flex and see, I'll check back on here after work tonight. Thanks guys!

Trimming is easy once you get used to it My 245's rub because I am still using my stock wheels for those, my 265's don't rub because I have 2" less backspacing, so running 265's on stock wheels WILL rub on the lower control arms...

Update:

Just checked the website and here are the price differences for the tires.
265/70R16 $19 more per tire than what I have
265/75R16 $11 more per tire

More input please before the deal goes away. I gotta decide by tomorrow before I put too many miles on the 245's.
