Hey guys I just got a 93 zj v6 .auto . And want to lift it for either 33s or 35s. Jeep is gonna be trailered to the trail. Just want to make it thru the trail with out issues. But not gonna be gettin crazy and crawling just want to have fun. So what is the cheapest way to lift it. Thanks

ZJ doesnt have a V-6, unless someone got really creative...

Welcome to the forum, mind the smartasses. Yes the 4.0 is an Inline 6 not a V6.
33's need about 3.5 or 4 inches of lift depending on trimming and flex. 35's are going to need 5.5 inches of lift, and pretty soon you'll want to go to 7.
33's you can run on short arms (adjustables), for 35's you really want to go to long arms unless you're Hunter, in which case you can do whatever you want.
Either way you probably want to get rid of the d35 in the back. Definitely for 35's arguable for 33's. A d44a from a jy V8 zj (post 96) will do fine for either.
Long arms get expensive fast, but if you're gonna do it you may as well do it right the first time.

Cut the fenders up and go 4.5 and 35's. Put some belly armor on it and lock an 8.8 rear.

Just FYI 33"s and up are when you start getting serious IMHO. If you're looking to wheel on the cheap and trialing only, then just get 3.5"~4" springs, shocks and front/rear adjustable trackbars; remove front and rear anti roll bars to get more flex. I ran the crap out of my 4.0 on a teraflex 3.5" with 32" BFG MTs. Lock whatever axle you have until it blows up. Once you hit ~4.5" or so you'll probably need to start upgrading to adjustable control arms and that gets very pricey. You may also be able to trim and fit 33"s with this type of setup (on stock control arms to keep it cheap.)

If you want real cheap, do a front to rear swap, throw on some 33s and cut/trim/bang the fenders as needed. Now if you want reliable, then "cheap" should not be in the same sentence.
