HELP brakes still grinding after brake job

o.k. I put new pads on my wifeís limited last night no need for rotors as I did them last time and still looked good. Before the brake pads were replaced I thought that they would be real bad but they were not bad at all. I put the new ones on and took it for a ride. Not change I still had bad grinding on the passenger side. So now I donít know what could be wrong. Maybe the hub is going bad. It only makes that grinding sound when the truck is stopping. It has 135,000 on the clock v8 and a 2000 grand Cherokee.

are there any groves in the rotors...did you grease the backs of the pads...maybe a caliper piston is bad or the slides. Could be one simple thing or a lot....if you can take a pic it may be easier for us to see what you are and tell you a better answer.

way too much to list.
Thought for the day:
If GOD gave HIS only son for us...can't we at least give HIM an hour of our time a day.

Have someone walk beside you while you drive slowly. Noises can "seem" like they come from different places while inside the vehicle.

Very well could be the hub, not saying that's what it is though. Typically, the hub will make a grinding type of sound, but any number of things can indicate a bad hub. I orignially thought I had a brake sticking because it was grinding (sounded like a cd stuck in the drive). I jacked it up and had play in the wheel so I replaced both hubs - problem solved. Mine went out with like 140k or so on the clock in the 96. I just helped smrtjustin do his in his XJ a few weeks ago and he only has 57k on the clock...
