Hella light Wiring??

Well i mounted some lights to the bumper this weekend....turned out really nice, the only problem now is I don't have them wired right, I followed what was some sorry *** wiring instructions I thought. It called for hooking a green wire into the headlights, well I didn't do this because I don't want them on with the head lights. I wired it back through the relay , then to the provide switch inside but no lights...Does anybody have any suggestions??

The lights had a black and blue wire, it appeared that the blacks got tied together and back to the relay, the blue wires appeared that they were to be grounded to the truck, there is a blue wire off the relay that appears to get grounded, then there is a yellow wire that runs back to the switch, then there is a fused green wire that I THOUGHT is an option to the head light??? and of course the red power wire to the battery...

Any help will be appreciated, I am really getting old...I used to be able to wire anything, now I can only pop beer tops and watch it seems..

The green wire is used as a switched 12v. When do you want the hellas to come on? If independent of the hi/low beams you can tap into the parking lamp. But personally I don't know why you'd need the hellas on without at least having the lows on.

So the green wire has to be utilized no matter what...that may be where I screwed up.
