Heater Problem

Hi Guys,

I was wondering if anyone could be of some assistance... My girlfriend's '02 Jeep Grand Cherokee has had a number of heater related issues. Foremost, a short time ago the heater began blowing out ambient temperature air on the passenger side. I believe this is a problem stemming from the blend door malfunctioning. I was wondering if the HeaterTreater product was a viable option, (we can't really afford the $1,500 the dealership is asking for at the moment)? As of last night the heater now intermittently completely stops blowing air for a while and then starts back up. Being that it gets pretty cold I would like to fix this problem asap. Any thoughts or suggestions would be really appreciated. Thank you!

PS. Sorry if this problem has been discussed at length elsewhere, I searched the forums but didn't find anything.

Well you're in the right direction. Search "blend doors" and you should find a ton of information. also, www.wjjeeps.com is a good source of info.

Your new problem sounds like your blower motor is crapping out.

Actually the new problem sounds more like the blower connector plug melting/failure...

The heater treater has been covered in a few threads. Search on it.

the heater treater works great from what I hear.

You probably have the blend door issue on the pass side, and the connector going out going to the blower under the glove.

I installed the heater treater on our Jeep. It was an easy fix and works great.
