Heater Core question

I have a 1993 GC Limited with 5.2
Is the heater core made out of aluminum or brass?
And if anyone knows the answer to the same question for 1994-98 as well.
Thanks: John

Well I haven't replaced mine yet but the part I ordered was copper or brass or maybe an alloy of the two. I assume its the same as the OEM part.

My guess is they are plastic tanks with aluminum tubes just like the OEM radiators.

Well if they were still using the brass type in 1996, then it is even more likely that they used them in 1993.
I wonder if any of the ZJs had the aluminum heater core as an oem part......
Thanks for the reply: John
