heater core fan replacement?

The heater core fan on my 93 ZJ is beginning to go, its not pushing as much air as it used to, and when you shut it off you can hear the bearings knock a bit. Has anyone replaced their own? Is it not worth trying on my own? & how much roughly would just the fan cost me vs. having a mechanic fix her? Thanks guys

You will have no problem doing it yourself. Just take your time. I suggest having a pen/paper with you for notes (if needed)

The blower motor is easy to change. It is under the dash on the passenger side. It is held in by three phillips/hex screws. There might just be some leaf debris in it. Pull it out, look at it, and clean it out if it needs it.
