mirror defrost

The mirror has power to it because i can adjust it with the inside control, but it won't defrost. Are there seperate fuses for the same mirror?

There are separate fuses for the mirror motors and the mirror heaters, but I'm fairly certain that both mirror heaters are on the same fuse. So, if the passenger heater is still working, that would make me think that it is not the fuse, but it is worth a look. Otherwise, I'm not sure what would be the cause other than malfunction/failure. I believe that you can replace just the mirror glass with a new one with the heating element, which would be less expensive than a whole new mirror.

Incidentally, since you have a 2004 model, you may want to direct your question to the "WJ" forum since it covers the year that you have (1999-2004).

Good luck!
