Headlights stay on.....

Uhhhggg.....

My boss took my 98 GCL home tonight because I had his truck. He says the headlights won't shut off. I had them set to auto so I wouldn't have to mess with them. (I sort of like that). Anyway, He is familiar with daytime running lights and things as silly as how to work headlights, but had to resort to pulling the fuse out. Has anyone heard of such a thing? He said he waited 20 minutes after shutting the truck off and they were still on. There is a blue "light" icon on the dash stays on even after turning the jeep off. I just bought this a few weeks ago, so I'm not to sure if there is something obvious I'm missing. Oh, yeah... the lights won't even shut off when you turn the switch to the off position.

that blue lgiht on the dash is for the high beams. Dont know if that makes a difference but try turning them off.

Well...The blue light stays on even when the jeep is off and the headlights won't go off at all. The brights aren't on, because I can toggle them with the stick. I disconnected the wiring harness that goes to the box behind the battery and that "fixed" them. I can turn them on and off, but the auto setting doesn't work anymore. Any suggestions?
