Headlight bulbs

I am looking at upgrading my headlight bulbs, does anyone have any experience with the Xenon bulbs they sell on Ebay. Are they any good or are they just blue tinted cheap bulbs. They sell some Sylvania upgrades at Walmart that are suposed to be much better than stock but they cost a lot more than the ones on Ebay.

Any suggestions what do you guys run? Stock type or some kind of upgrade?

Thanks guys this is a great board, seems lots friendlier than the other jeep boards.

Ok

I updated it. My Jeep is a 97 Laredo with the 4.0 and Select Trac. Headlights are stock units and the glass is still good and clear.

Sylvania Super stars are about 17.00 each and work much better than stockers.

Thats what I needed to know

I was wondering if they really helped enought to justify the expense. In the past I have bought after market bulbs from big name companies they worked good but they were big bucks, trying not to spend a fortune.

ok put it this way.
put silverstars up to regular halogen bulbs(pee yellow) and they will look like HIDs. but put silverstars next to real HIDs and the silverstars look pee yellow!

hope this helps in your decision making...

ps you think silverstars are expensive...you could always look at a true HID setup that costs upwards of $200!

I think I will try the Silverstars or the GE nighthawks, At least if i buy them at Walmart and don't see a difference I can take them back. Just want something better than the stock yellow without spending the money for real HID.

i have the nighthawks, just bought them and they seem to be pretty decent. They were about 10-15 bucks cheaper than the silverstars as well from walmart. But they work good enough for me.

Jeremy

So you can see a decent difference with the night hawks. I need to put bulbs in my wife car too she is pretty night blind so anything that will help her out. I see well at night but brighter is always better just like more power is always better.

do you have link

So do you have a link and I have never really paid attention to the BMWs so not really sure what you mean by a halo kit.
