Having transmission problems. please help!!!!!

I have a 97 limited zj with a 4.0 and everything on it is stock, stock differentials transfer case and tranny. The tranny has 190,000 miles on it and looks like it has been overfilled and maybe serviced once in its life. It is my daily driver and i try to keep it tuned up as much as posible. Heres my problem, so today i was sitting in SLOW traffic on my way to work with o/d on. Everything was going fine until i push down on the gas and i hear and feel my car start to stutter. it feels like its getting stuck and trying to punch its way through and after taking the gas of and going back on the gas it runs fine. it runs fine in normal traffic and doesnt give me any problems. My car also stuttered back from work when i was on my way home after pressing halfway down on the gas pedal. recently though ive noticed that sitting in the middle of an intersection waiting and creeping to turn my rpm gauge will go down to 250rpm quickly and shoot back up and run normal. If it helps any i use my o/d button alot. please help!

Doesn't sound like a transmission problem to me.

Seems like something electrical. Sounds a lot like a failing Throttle Position Sensor.

Fuel pump/filter ever been changed? Test fuel pressure at the rail?

Battery connection and grounds clean and tight?

Last time you did an ignition tune-up?

Clean the IAC?

the iac is clean, the wires and plugs are 6months old, the fuel filter was probably never changed. The only reason i say it might be a transmission problem is because when it started to stutter and stick today the engine was still running and the rpms were fine

Did you check the transmission dipstick while running warm in neutral? Ever change the filter? Adjust the TV/Kickback cable under the hood?

You're in neutral when you check it, correct? If it's overfilled you definitely want to get the extra out.

The TV cable is easy to adjust but you have to drive around a little bit each time you move it a notch. Took me about 15 minutes driving around in an empty parking lot until I got it to where I was satisfied.
