Grinding noise from the front drivers side

Recently I began to hear a kind of grinding noise at the front driver side of my Grand Cherokee. Ive heard that this could be something as simple as pinion bearings but Im afraid of a potential differential problems. Im not having any functional problems turning or anything; its just a noise. Anybody know anything more about this? Any advice you could give me would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Son's ZJ had a stripped caliper bolt. tore up pads, rotor, and made a mess.

Steve Carey, off Brice Rd.( Near 70 ) took care of it.

Most likely just a U-joint. Cheap part, easy fix.

Post up your info on your Jeep. You need to definitely get underneath it and take a look, then let us know what you see or better yet, take pictures.
