grinding noise coming from my breaks
i have a grinding noise coming from my breaks and am not sure what it is i know its not the wheel berrings and think it has to do with my calipers...but im still not sure if you could help that would be great

i have a grinding coming from the front of my 98 and i thought it might be brake related because it got louder as i braked, it ended up being my front diff..
hope you have better luck. connor.

try cleaning out everything really well. I have gotten a rock or something in the pads before and it made a really annoying grinding sound

hey thanks guys ya i cleaned it out and it was some dirt and rocks cought in the pads

Are you 100% certain that you have pad left on each side of the disc? That would be the obvious first thing, and since you did not mention it... Next I could suggest that you get them cleaned out, hose them off a bit. (NOT WHEN HOT obviously)
If you have metal on metal you need to get those discs turned and perhaps replaced asap. Certainly do not want to drive it anymore.

ya i just replaced the pads 500 miles ago and yes i cleaned them out (not when hot) and it seems to be getting better
i have cleaned them out befor but this time i took the brake asembley apart to clean
