Just a bit of info about the event folks:

Anyones ZJ/WJ/WK is invited to come. You need to register online (at the above link Jim posted), print out the waiver form, and then turn it it. You aren't registered fully until that form is turned in. They only allow 50 Grand Cherokee's total so if you aren't in the top 50, you won't be allowed to run.

Last year it wasn't full and that was odd (probably gas prices). In the past years there has been a waiting list and some people aren't able to attend.

As for the trails, generally each day has 2-4 trails available ranging from easy to very difficult. There are trail leaders. Everyone is very friendly and open to new people. Stockers are welcome provided you have the proper equipment (tow hooks, CB, and sliders are the basics but visit the website for a full list - http://gsw.mallcrawlin.com/index_files/Requirements.htm).

Great group of people, it is a chance to meet fellow web wheelers and raaz each other in person Drink a few beers AFTER a day on the trail at the hotels, wrench in the parking lot, and complain about the heat (last year was 100+ each day, year before that was nice 70's and 80's each day).

I would love to go to this event in Moab. I've seen plenty of pics of Moab and the 4x4 trails, it looks pretty epic. Time, money and other plans hold me back. I plan on going to Sedona AZ around the same time as the GSW. Maybe next year I'll make my first trip out their.

To all those who make it on the list.....Have a blast!

No one from here going to GSW? It is truely a great time

45 grands are currently registered (15 confirmed so plenty of space if you're quicker then the other 30 who haven't confirmed yet).

I signed up for Golden Spike, Moab Rim, and Klondike Bluff/Tower Arch for Fri/Sat/Sun runs

No a stock WK can't

Nothing like getting a phone call at 1am: "Uhm, we're stuck on Moab Rim, we went up there by ourselves. We need a WK TRE"

I'm going, already registered and have the form here, I just have to mail it.

I will be locked/locked by then, and hopefully on 32s, but I registered for Gold Bar Rim and Poison Spider Mesa since I've never been out there before and don't know what to expect. My wife fully expects that my jeep will pretty much explode just at the mere insinuation of driving it over rocks, so I hope I don't really break anything
