Can anybody tell me how to change one? I have the transmission pan off... so how do I remove the sensor?

Are you sure that it needs replacing? Mine throws governor pressure sensor codes that are false when it gets wet. I just clear the code after it has dried off, and the Jeep runs perfectly after that.

You could help others by explaining a bit more. That way if someone else has your same symptoms, then they might assume that the solenoid valve is the culprit??

Ok... Symptoms include: Slipping on 2 to 3 downshift. Sloppy shifts 1,2,3.
Erratic down shifts from third to second then back to third. When warm holds first and second till almost 3K. Check engine light code 45 or P1762.
I would love to let you know if replacing the Governor Pressure Sensor fixes it. So now back to my original question.
How do I remove the Governor Pressure Sensor from the valve body?

Thank you. I am at work and do not have access to my FSM. I can check when I get home.

That sounds like more than just a sensor issue. I hope for your sake that is the only thing that is wrong. I had similar symptoms in 1999 in advance of complete transmission failure.

Ok so here is my issue, i just ordered Brand new MOPAR sensor and solenoid set from ebay. The parts came factory sealed and the Governor Pressure Sensor came without the O-Ring on it! Question: can or should i use the O-Ring from the old sensor? Or, should i see if the seller can ship another set (hopefully with an O-ring this time) in good faith that i am going to return this set first thing in the A.M.? I need the parts for this weekend and its already Wednesday! Thanks in advance!
