Gold Infiniti Radio System

My left side balance is real low compared to the right side and if I try to balance it out with volume certain freq's will crack so loud through the left speakers it will scare the hell out of you.
I took it to a repair place and all they do is exchange it for $250.00!!
Anyone know if I can get a better deal somewhere else?
I know I could get an after market radio that would sound better but they never seem to look right and half the time the led light are a different color etc.

Thanks
Herb

did the repair shop tell you the problem was the deck? I replaced all my stock speakers with new infinity's and they sound great on the stock amp.

I don't think they even try to repair them.
They just exchange them. The dealer told me the same thing.
I told the guy at the repair place what the problem was and they just said to exchange it with some place in Houston,Tx.

Dis you buy the speakers from the dealer? How much?

don't get them from the dealer. The stock speakers are not as good as what you can get elsewhere and most likely are more expensive. I got 5 1/4" infinity reference 2 ways in the rear that i got at circuit city for $99 for the pair. In the front doors I got 6 3/4" infinity kappas. I got them online for a little over $100 for the pair. I also have a 12" kicker sub in the back with a 1200watt amp. The highs all sound great on the stock head unit and amp. if you are not planning on getting a sub you might want to get 3-way speakers for better bass response.

did that make sense? i hope so

Thanks for the info, I'll check out my speakers to see if that's the problem.
I notice you have a 98 5.9. Hard to come by I'm told.

I was talking to a mechanic that's been looking for one for quite sometime
Thanks Again
Herb
