Looked at a WJ yesterday, but that didn't work out. Going to look at the car in link instead.

Looks super clean but you may want to look for a 5.9 for that price point.

It's defiantly over priced, I'll try to get it for $3,900

I'd start at $2000 and go from there. $2500 tops. Low miles or not, it's still a ZJ.

March 2014 GCOTM. 1998 Deep Slate 5.9
On the Jeep:Hot intake, 52mm TB, Summit 8mm wires, catch can, 703s, insulated fuel rails, indexed Champions, Bilstein 4600s, Eibach lowering springs, Moog SS, Ironman mounts, Lotek 2GP, lots of gauges, sparkly paint.
In the garage: M1 4bbl
In the works: Addco/Hellwig sway bars, nitrous, full polly bushings, full exhaust, data logging, billet UD pulleys

Are you saying that just because it's older?

And because that's about what they're worth. There's so many of them out there that their value has plummeted. In my opinion, Any ZJ over $3500 had better be something special.

I disagree.

I paid $3900 with 103k fully loaded every option but tow hooks on a 98 limited with a 5.2. price=quality 99.999% of the time and at 111k in 2 years, so see this going to 200k and 7-10 years from now with minor repairs and stopping rust as it starts, maintenance.

The only way I would pay that for a 5.2 was if all the repairs like plenum, motor mounts, control arm bushings, ect were already done. Price depends on location a whole lot too. If if is south west truck with no rust then I would pay a bit more.

two things ...

one look for rust ... your guys weather and elements ruin vehicles ...

AND TWO .... What car are you going to look at ... the link you left here goes to a JEEP ... no car ....

Jeep's are Jeep's ....

Honda's can be cars or motorbikes but most mow lawns ....

Glad we could clear that up for you .....

I'm simply saying a 15 plus year old jeep grand cherokee worth more than $4 better be close to perfect. And preferably with low miles like this one you're looking at. It's not impossible, but it is rare. At that age you're looking at replacing anything rubber and parts that have worn due to time, not just mileage. So I wish you luck either way. I have bought and sold enough cars to know that finding a diamond in the rough is truly a challenge. To sum up what I'm saying 'they always need something'
