Glow gauges

Hello.

I was thinking about buying some glow gauges similar to
these ones . Has anyone done this? Is it hard to install? seems like its just a little bit of wiring. Thanks in advance

I was looking for some of those about a year ago and couldn't find any for under 100, I think i'll go get myself a set now. As far as installation goes, I don't think it's too difficult, just the fact that you have to take the whole dashboard apart to get at the gauges.

Even then, getting the dash board off isnt all that hard, just a matter of dealing with those screws.

My friend has them, I think they look cheap during the day. And sometimes even at night.

I've found the clips on the sides to be the biggest nusence, if your not very carefull they like to pull out of the dash mat and it's all down hill from there. But maybe that was just because I had mine off like 6 times messing around with my radio.

I agree. You get what you pay for with those ebay gauges. I have seen them in other vehicles, and they don't look good at all.

You will be much happier if you skip the ebay gauges, and spend the extra cash to get a quality dash set from a reputable brand name.

go to StreetRacerParts.com and do a search from there. I found a set that goes with my 96 jgc for only $59. I also hear that there is a way to take just the gauge thing out with out removing the whole dash. I was waiting to get my own but thought you might like the link Guumba.

I bought a set of the white over lay type for my GC you didn't have to remove the needles when installing them. After I put them on they didnt look good at night so I took them back off. I saw a set at JC Whitney that replaces the stock not over lays. Has any one used these? I sent them an email asking if the needles had to be removed when installing them and I haven't received a reply.
