Gimme a break (TC Prob's)?

Ok, so most of you know i got the new D44s from IRO, well I went out a few minutes ago here at work and it was raining and I locked the rear to simulate loosing traction around a corner, and damn if it didn't start that popping crap again

I thought it was in the front diff before, but apparently it's coming from the TC. What could this be, I mean it only happens when I break traction and the sound comes from why i think is the rear of the TC. Could it be the drive shaft slipping, I still have the orginals in there? Could it be the TC slipping inside, possibly the chain? I'm at a loss, but what I do know is I don't have anymore money to throw at it at this point.

It drives awesome and it makes no noises until i break traction and then it pops rather loudly, some of you from GSMW last year know what I'm talking about.

Any idea's where I should start?

Sounds like the PC or the chain in the TC.

Usually when there is slack in the chain or (teeth worn) it will slip under WOT. Drive for awhile and get the TC hot. Come to a complete stop and mash. No slip or pop ?

Not really, it sounds like something slipping and then catching. But it's clearly a popping sound. It's almost like a torque transfer kind of thing, it only does it when it breaks traction on acceleration.

Same here, i get a ratcheting/popping/clicking sound when it breaks traction on acceleration, and when i hit the brakes when my wheels are spinning (no traction).

I'm working until 5am, so not yet. I'll dig into it tomorrow, I will check that first, but kind of wondering where to go from there. It's kind of hard to recreate the problem while under the jeep

yea do that and have someone run along your jeep while you re-create the noise to narrow it down to the t-case because it sounds like your not 100% sure where it is coming from

May have to get it up in the air to tell. The popping will transfer up the shafts and give a false sense of where the popping is coming from. What lockers do you have again ?

Why is it so much harder to diagnose problems on your own rig, if someone else were having this problem, the answer would just pop right in my head

I hear ya there. I am having some growling driveline noises myself. (Possible pinion bearing) just developed recently. I have not figured it out as of yet either.
