Getting new tires, opinions?
I'm looking to get some new 31s and just wondered what you guys thought about the 3 main tires I am considering. I looked on tire rack and saw many mixed reviews. Also, all other things aside, which tire would you rate as being the best in mud out of:
1. Firestone Destination A/T
2. Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revos
3. BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A KO

I like the Destinations.. I had Destination LE's on my xj and never got stuck unless i grounded the frame on something.. Plowed through mud over the bumper and snow also.. great tires IMHO for a street tire... a little expensive through the firestone dealer.. $700 I think.. but overall Satisfied..

Firestone is a rip-off unless you get a coupon or they have a sale. They wanted $ 990 for to equip my 4runner with Revo’s. I have bought my last three sets of tires from Tirerack. They will deliver to: your home, your business, or a local tire installation chain store.
I have spent countless hours trying to figure out what tires I want. I go thru this every two years. To make matters worse, Tirerack’s website is sooooo stinkin slow.

I think the BFG AT KO's are great, but my Jeep doesn't see that much mud.

Revos
If you want a good tire for on road preformance with excellent wet road handling get the Revos. They do well off-road also, but I'm impressed by their on road handling. I have had to brake very hard on wet roads and the tires held the road, and under acceleration on wet roads the tires have yet to break loose. I've had them for over 20,000 miles and no complaints. If you are going to do a lot of off-roading I'd look into the LT version, although its not called that, of the Revos since I've heard they have more plies in the sidewall. Of course they cost more also. Go to tirerack to see the specs.

I don't run the Revos but, I do run the Bridgestone Dueler ATs. I really like them.
