Getting a bad smell out of your Jeep

My kid puked in the back recently. I have cleaned it up well and used some Febreeze on the carpet but I still smell it when it has been sitting with the windows up for a while. Any advice on how to get rid of the smell?

Is this thread serious?

Shampoo the rugs? Pull the rugs and replace them if that doesn't work?

x2 on the shampoo - use a steam cleaner if you have it. Also it helps to park under cover or in a garage with the windows down to dry things out.

Whenever I had a stinky car I would sprinkle some of that pet odor powder and leave the windows rolled up over night.
It can't cost more than 5 bucks and you could probably get away with only doing the puke patches

Open the back hatch and all windows while you are driving. Close the hatch if you on the interstate of course though. Also a lot of detail places have some ridiculously strong scents. Stop at one and offer them a couple of bucks to spray a few shots of their strongest odor blocker on the spot. I had transmission fluid spill over the carpet one time and it took about a month for it to go away completely.
