Gear Ratio problems... help please!

I got my 02 Jeep Grand Cherokee limited back in may, its got about 51k miles on it now, 48k when i bought it.

Never once has given me a problem until today. I was driving fine, when all of the sudden i just completely lost all throttle control like the teeth of my tranny just opened up.

After this happened, the check engine light came on. I diagnosed the problem as Error PO733, or incorrect Gear 3 ratio.

Anybody know what the deal is with this? What kind of fix am i looking at for this? From my understanding it can have something to do with a solenoid malfunction and in some cases the clutch plates.

Any input is much appreciated,
Thanks
