Fuse #16

So I've had some problems with my battery draining completely leaving my jeep dead in the water, I just popped open my fuse box and fuse #16 isn't actually a fuse, someone has wired 2 wires on to that fuse and the run somewhere up into my dash, jeeps dead and it's dark out so couldn't really trace it... Unsure on what this fuse does and if it could be myptoroblem?

Look for a switch, maybe someone previously had a draw there so installed a switch to stop the draw?

There is a switch on my dash that turn on power for turning on the interior overhead lights - but I make sure that is always flipped down (off)... I have a feeling this might be my issue... Any clue on what else runs off that fuse?

It's a 1998, I have a feeling it is the interior lights but not sure if there is anything else - I do know I don't have an alarm... My battery will drain in less then 24 hours so there's a pretty serious draw from somewhere

that last pic is the under hood power distribution center, not the one in passenger's kick panel

Fuse 16 is the protection for the fuel pump. It is switched on and off though the fuel pump relay.
As you can see by the schematic the relay is controlled though the PCM.
When you first turn the key to the run position, the relay, is energized for a couple of seconds to turn on the fuel pump in order to build up pressure in the fuel rail. Then it de-energizes until the engine starts to run at which time it's re-energized to keep the pressure up.
Fuse 16 doesn't provide power to anything but the pump.
Your going to need an electrical schematic to correct the mess the previous owner did.

Really? Then why would it be wired heading up towards the dash?

So are you sure that's what that does? It's #16 CTSY LPS which is what it gives me on the back of the panel that pops out where I just looked that up and someone said its for interior lighting, etc...

Edit : weirdly enough your the one who said it was the interior lights?... Lol

You'll have to bear with me on this one, my PC has been crashing on me for the last week and I need to restart it constantly. Heat sink on my video card keeps overheating and needs to some thermal grease. So I'll do my best.
I think your talking about the Junction Block (JB) by the passenger kick panel..... right?....
Here's a different pic,,,
