Full time 4wd to part time conversion?

How are you suppose to know you need four wheel drive if you don't have two wheel drive? I miss burnouts and donuts, besides maybe I could get a few more mpg. Right now I get about 11 mpg with 3.5 inches of lift and 32x11.5 BFG mudders. See, I had to throw in a practical reason for seeking info on this conversion, but really I just want some tire spin. Any info or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks! That will be sweeet, all I need to do when I need four wheel drive is crawl under my Jeep and wrench on it for ten minutes. Yeah, thanks. That is much better than locking in hubs and switching transfer case gears.
I have another problem that you would probably be better suited to answer. When my girlfriend borrows my ride to go get grocerys it seems that she has a hard time reaching the front of the cargo area to efficiently stack the bags due to the increase in ride height. I was just wondering what you do. Do you carry a cute little step stool? If so do you simply bungy cord it to your fancy roof rack, or did you have special trick brackets fabbed up???

being that i am 6' 6" tall - not a problem. no step stool needed. not even to get my spare down. how many of your boy friends does it take to get your spare out of the back?

nice answer though. why did you need to ask if you already had an answer?

Sorry bro, no pole smokin' here. Do you think I would change a tire myself? Are you crazy? I'd get grease on my leather wrapped turny thing. But any way...Your rig sounds pretty tight. Has it actually been off the asphault? You're not like the othe ninety percent of Sallys on this forum that are wondering how to check their air pressure are you? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />

considering that around here there isn't much off-roading to do, i've done some. pretty much just mud around here. could go up to drummond island. that's where upper & lower michigan meet. lots of rocks and stuff along the beach. ever heard of Silver Lake Sand dunes? was up there 2 weeks ago.
