Front prop(drive) shaft problems

Hi everybody. I bought my 2.7 five cylinder turbodiesel Laredo new in July 2004. The only proble I have is that I already had to replace the front propshaft twice, i.e a prop shaft approximately lasts 20 000 kilometres. I do not often drive 4x4, but I tow a relatively big caravan when my family and I go on holiday. The dealers cannot find anything wrong with the gearbox or front diff. Although it is replaced free(the vehicle has a motorplan) I feel a bit worried should I decide to go on serious 4x4 and the shaft brake down in a remote area. Although one can dismantle the shaft and proceed driving 4x2, it can happen that you need 4x4. Have anyone experienced the same? Is the propshaft perhaps to weak for the powerful engine- the 2.7 five cylinder Mercedes Benz engine develops a healthy 400 newton meters. Any advice/commens would be appeciated. Regards
