Front Drive shaft Problems..... Urghhhhhhh!

I recently install a 2.5" lift on my wj and have been getting some front drive

vibes at 30+mph.. Well... i was driving down the highway at about 50 mph

and suddenly i hear something grinding and rubbing like crazy. So i pulled

and looked and my front driveshaft was smoking near where i connects at

the transfer case. Just changed the fluid with the correct NV247 fluid from

Dealership. What would cause this? A Bad Front drive shaft??? Bearing???

btw 99 JGC, Quadradrive, CV front driveshaft

Could be a bad cardon joint. That would be my bet.

Is this what your DS looks like?

You can try disconnecting the DS and take it for a short drive to see if the noise persist.

Disconnect it and inspect both ends. Mine was wasted and looked like this at the TC end......

I also had irregular play in the DS when it was connected, check for that as well (a little rotational play is normal).
