freon for AC recharging in 1994 Grand Cherokee

folks:
Could someone please tell me what kind of freon (R12 or R134a) is used in 1994 Grand Cherokee Laredo. Pls let me know at vsaks1@hotmail.com, Would appreciate any and all responses

There should be an underhood sticker telling you what kind of "freon". I believe all ZJ's were R134 systems from the factory. I know my '95 is.

My 93 is R134- thankfully- lost the charge 3 times finding a leak.

I bought a simple recharge kit at pepboys.

Worked like a charm.

Thx to all who replied

I got a hose and freon from Walmart and recharged it, easy BTW got a great deal, the freon cans were 97 cents each, guess cant beat that
