Ford Taurus 2 Speed Fan
I installed this last weekend.. It is awesome..
Cost me $14 at a Boneyard... Its the best money I have ever spent on my ZJ.. The fan shroud fit right into the ZJ radiator and cools like a champ.. Unbelievable... Also there is a very noticable difference in power... And to top it all off its much quieter than the clutch fan... Just wanted to post up and let you guys know about this..

I have not installed the thermostatic switch since its winter..
(Ill do that when its warmer..) I just watch the temp gauge and if it gets warm .. I turn it on low.. I will mount the sesor to the side of the radiator inside the shroud.. It will be very simple..I am about to go take pictures of it so I will have them up in a few... The 2 speed fan is in any boneyard taurus with a 3.8 litre engine.. Also some lincolns with the 3.8 ( could possible be in others..) The easiest way to tell is to look at the wires.. A 2 speed fan will have 3 wires.. where a sigle speed will only have 2.. Pics will be up in a minute..

OK.... here we go.. Before I get any crap... I know the pictures suck.. But its cold and dark outside.. And its raining.. I will try to get better pics tommorow but these should hold you over till then..
Here are my relays... Here is a picture of the fan.. You can see how well it fits the radiator and the small brackets I had to make to hold it up.. I will try very hard tommorow to get a picture where you can see both sides of the radiator.. To show exactly how well it fits.. The metal strips are just aluminum strap from Home depot.. I drilled two holes in them ONe for the stock fan shroud mount (top) and one for the small screw and nut I put thru the edge of the new fan shroud.. The fan has small platic clip thingys that clip in the side of the radiator like the stock shroud did.. Here is a picture of where my switches are ... The bottom is for my OBA the second is fan low the top is fan HI.. I know I could have used a 3 pos . switch but I thought 2 switches would be cooler... Hope that will be enough to tide you guys over till it quites raining.. Carl

IT will definatly be the best money you ever spent.. .
It cools better and drags much less on your engine.. If you need any other info let me know..

awesome mod.
It's true, you can really feel the fan drain power when it engages, thats y i want to get rid of it. I was wondering if this would also work for a 4.0? If so, how would i remove the clutch fan? Also, did u get the thermostats with the fan, or did u buy them separate? Thanx for ur help.

Looked at 4.0 today. looks like it will work. Your fan and clutch will unbolt w/ 4 screws . Thermostats and switch availble at autozone near elec' fans, $24.00.
Godd Luck
