Foglight wiring? Replacing with Hella.

Hi Guys -
FINALLY getting around to replacing the foglights on my ZJ.
It has the factory fogs, with their wiring. I was going to splice the Hella's 500's wiring right onto the factory wiring.
But - the factory uses a two-wire system - is one +, one ground?
I can't find my multitester anywhere - any idea how to differentiate the two wires?
Thanks!
PRS

If you don't have a test light, you can dummy one up with a bulb and a short piece of wire -- then test the wires to frame ground, to find the hot one -- then test from the hot wire to the other wire to make sure it's a ground wire.

Ok, just got them wired - guessed on the wires, and got them right.
Yay - no burnt Jeep...
So, the green wire is ground, the black is hot. Weird, I know, but thats the way it is on my 94.
All I can say is WOW - I don't know how I drove with out them before!

Do you mean the factory Jeep harness, or the Hella harness?
The jeep harness is still on the Jeep - i left it all there, just spliced he wires where I cut off the factory fogs.
The hella harness I have still, if you want it.

i was hoping you had taken off the factory jeep harness. i have a set of hellas with the factory 93-95 harness on them. but my jeep is a 97 so i either have to replace the harness on the jeep( which is what i was hopin gyou cut off) or have to find a 97 stock foglight that i can get that harness off.

sorry, me confused. Are your fog lights above the bumper in front of the grill, or down below under the bumper?

I was thinking to myself that Hella's were round, and you were trying to fit a round peg into a square hole.

Damn, I'm such a newb

No, my factory fogs were mounted above the bumper. I just unbolted the rectangular factory lights, and bolted the round hella's in place. I think it looks better, and really lights up the road.
