Fog Light Connectors

Ok, so I finally got around to getting a set of used 96-98 integrated bumper foglights for my wifes 98 ZJ off of ebay for about 37 bucks. I've added the auto headlight switch with fog, the auto headlight sensor and all that works well. When I first started this project, I checked to make sure I had the fog light wiring so I checked under the front bumper and sure enough in both spots there was a grey two wire plug next to the spot for the fog cutouts. When I went to install the foglights I found out that the plugs on the foglights were different and do not mate up with the stock connector. The stock connectors on the jeep also had a female plug on it with no wires coming out and seemes to be there mainly to keep the weather out. I will attach pictures soon of the connectors, my question is has anyone ever run into this problem before or did jeep do something silly like changing the foglight plugs during the 96-98 timeframe?

Fog light connector pics

Ok here are the pictures, the first is a picture of the foglights, note I already took off one of the connectors to get a better picture.

Here are two pictures of the plugs, the one on the left is the one from the foglights, the one on the right is the plug that was connected to the foglight harness on the jeep. As you can see this is a square peg in a round hole issue.

and another shot from the side

what I'm thinking is if I can get some pins for the grey connector, I could put the grey connector on the foglights and I would be all set. Does anyone know what type of connector the grey one is?

2nd that, I did the same thing as you, but mine went right on. My jeep originally came with them, and the PO broke them and removed them. I just put them back on. The wiring should be the same though

Just use an environmental splice or heat shrink around a regular one.
