fog lamps. which ones are right, 9055, 9040, 9145 or 9005?

03wj which fog lights are right. i have been researching and am getting conflicting info!!! are they 9055, 9040, 9145 or 9005? this is my last lamp type question. thanks, ron

03wj which fog lights are right. i have been researching and am getting conflicting info!!! are they 9055, 9040, 9145 or 9005? this is my last lamp type question. thanks, ron

I wasn't giving you a stupid answer. I was telling you what I would do. Its the easiest way. Takes a couple minutes.

Do you have an owners manual? Its in there too.

There are plenty of ways to get the answer then be lazy and ask on here.

9055 for 99-02
9040 for 2003
9145 for 2004

but you can fit a 9005 in all of them and it will be better since it is high beam bulb.

and then if you have the time and space adjust it if you want, stock they are pointed lower so if you move them up a bit make a big differences

thank you fine sir! that is exactly what i was looking for. you must have recognized by my original post that i was confused by the fact that i have seen numerous posts on here in regards to the 9005 being used instead of the original replacement. now i know why. thanks again, ron

You can easily fit a 9005 bulb in there by sliding one of the tabs in first, rotate, then slide the remaining two in.

It clips right up.

glade it helps. i was confused when i use to here 9005 in fogs too since it i thought it was the other ones

if you don't mind the few extra bucks i would say put the 9005 in there since are brighter

i run 9005's in my fogs, they work great, just aim them down a hair, otherwise they are blinding

that's odd most people with a non lifted jeep say they turn them up. you do have it lifted a bit.

but did you follow the alignment proceeds or point them to were you like them or though there best output?

Just a question, where could a guy find this alignment process? have done a couple searches and havent really found anything.
