Finally lifted

After a few months of having the lift, I finally got it installed. Took ~6 hours total by myself and another 2 hours today re-tightening the rear shocks and adjusting the track bar (PITA by yourself fyi).

Lift was OME HD springs (3" of lift measured, but will probably wear in to 2.5"), mx-6 shocks and a jks adjustable track bar.

Maybe, but Im not sure yet. My plan is to save up money while still paying the WJ off and buy a beater xj and use it for wheeling and keep the wj my DD.

Nice work! :thumbs up: Some BFG A/Ts will make it look much better, and you still get to keep the DD status. You plan to offroad it much?

Probably, but nothing crazy. That's why I'll probably end up buying a beater xj and use that for wheeling.

I was actually looking at prices on some BFGs along with some soft 8's.

That's harsh dude, I think it looks great, some slightly taller tires would complement it even better.

Right there between the first and second pictures, ZJcrawler45

And that looks sweet, gatorayde. Exactly what I want to do to my ZJ now that I've got the 31's on it.

you're jeep looks good man! i like it..

I got one question for you tho.. the mx6 shocks are designed so that the adjustment nobs are on the bottom... looks like your back shock is upside down... just a thought

I know, and I really tried to put them in the right way, HOWEVER (ugh), the freakin bushings on the adjuster end were thicker than the other and would not go in at all. I spent at least a good 30 minutes trying to force the bushing in and it just wouldn't budge. How easy did yours go in (because maybe kolak ordered me the wrong ones...)? I thought monotubes could go in either way though?

From pro-comps site:
Quote:
Are the MX6 shocks really made to be mounted upside down?
We recommend the shock be mounted body up but it can be mounted either way. The MX6 shocks are a mono-tube design; the operating part of the shock is moving up and down in a single tube. Should the tube be dented or damaged, the shock will not function and will require replacement. By mounting the shock upside down the body or tube is tucked out of harms way.
So it's fine, they recommend to install it like that so that it doesn't get damaged I guess.

It looks good. So that is what mine will look like with a lift.
