A few questions.

Hey all, new member here. Just purchased a 99 JGC, and think it's great. I've noticed that the AC doesn't blow very cold, and on the passenger side, seems even warmer. Common problem? It's cool, but not as cold as I'd like it.

Also, what do you all use to keep the plastic trim molding, like on the 99's, looking new. I know it comes painted on the newer ones, but mine is just a touch faded, and I'd like to spruce it up without it looking too oily or splotchy..

THanks!

I thought the same

Id make sure you AC options are on "auto" full left. It seems like its the coldest that way.

I think he has a Laredo based on his comment about the cladding, so he doesn't have the automatic climate control...

My jeeps air isn't as cold is most vehicles, I think their AC just kind of stinks. You may want to try and charge the frion...

For the cladding theres a bunch of things you can try, search the forum, this was posted yesterday...

Do you have the "Automatic Temperature Contol" AC/Heat system or do you have manual controls?

sounds like a blend door issue, but since you dont have auto climate then

you can always dye the cladding black for a more permanent look.but it might not look so good on certain color WJs

Do the manual climate trucks not have blend doors?

They do, but they are vacuum actuated and since it isn't dual climate control, there is only one AFAIK meaning they should always blow the same temperature. Of course if I am wrong and there are still two set of blend doors then perhaps one of the vacuum hoses leading to the passanger side control is cracked.

Well, I bought it. Checked out everything I could based on info I got from here, and seems great. The A/C isn't ice cold...Any suggestions on that? I'd love it to be colder.
