fender trimming

Looking to do some outer fender trimming on my 98 ZJ. Is there anything special I need to know? Concerns about taking too much? Issues with inner fender/wheel well meeting? Any advice is appreciated.

I used a jigsaw. Worked perfect. Really clean cut if u get a good blade, mark your path, and go slow.
