More than that is needed because the fan (relay) module is not visible on that page. However, go to this web page and scroll down to the part, Changing the 4.0L WJ Electric Fan Relay. It is complete with pics; it's a great write up.

Great website. Thanks so much to whoever documented their work.

My 03 WJ just overheated as well, upon troubleshooting, I found that the fan was not turning on at all. I assumed the fan went bad and bought a replacement ($150). Hooked it up before installing it and still wouldnt work. Seeing as how I checked the fuses and relayes in the box next to the battery, I started searching for the relay under the headlight. Short of removing the bumper I couldn't find it. I will now cut a hole and swap it for a new one. Anybody know how much one will cost. Thanks.

Thanks for the link RM - very helpful.
The relay or control module is around $60 at autozone.

I know it's an old post but thank youi all soooo much! I have a 96 XJ, which is much easier to work on btw (without all the bells and whistles), but my bro just bought a 03 WJ and the stupid thing got hot. After looking a bit I found this thread and learned so much. My dad, brother and I, thank you all for sharing your experiences and knowledge.
