factory exhaust

does anyone know what size (diameter) the factory exhaust on a '98 Jeep GC w/ a 4.0 I6 is?

furthermore...i'm in the market for some performance upgrades...is it worth getting a whole catback system to replace the exhaust or is it ok to just get a high-flow catalytic converter and a flowmaster?

2.25 through the cat to the muffler, and 2" after the muffler, might as well go for teh catback, most of the time you get a full stainless system, and the diameter it increased(good), if you can in ur state, just cut the cat off ,might as well
