Extra Lift for my RC shocks

Hey people..

Ive got the budget 1-3/4'' Rough Country shocks on my ZJ..

everything else is still standard and in good working order..

My question is what would be the cheapest way now to get an extra 1'' or 2 on top of what ive got..I think 3'' would be what im looking for so i can get some bigger tyres on

Obviously i dont want to compromise the ride too much so what do you suggest?

Would extra bushes on the springs be OK as ive got the RC shocks?

Spacers would be fine. You may want longer shocks after the bb to max out articulation, but for mostly street use it will work great for the $.

No one can answer that without the model # of the shocks or knowing their extended length.

Your shocks can only extend so far, if you add spacers then they could over extend.

Google the model of shock or grab a tape measure.

I'm confused. Are you stock height, with just longer shocks? Is it already lifted 1.75 with longer shocks? What do you want to do? Is it for highway use, with a little off-trail duty? The best thing is to get it the height you want while not worrying about shocks. Once your there, see what you need for shocks. For mostly street use I would bet your shocks will be fine.

Well its got the budget lift kit from RC that was the shocks and (bushes?) as im guessing the shocks dont lift the chassis? and yes it is roughly 1.5'' higher than stock..so its there budget lift kit

Everything else is stock including the springs..

I was wondering could i change the bushes that i have already to give it a bit more lift or would i have to take the next step up, control arms, sway bar etc..
afaik they are the Hydro8000 shocks judging by the RC site

Just replace your spacers with 3 in ones.

I will be doing some novice off-roading with it but i just the look of the higher rides hence my N00b questions...sry about that

As stated above would I need to make sure these shocks could handle the extra 1.5'' lift with a 3'' spacer or Do you think they would be Ok..

Im guessing its really a case of the higher you go the more you really need to change to better the off road capabilities?

So from mainly being a Road vehicle but as i said il be attending some Novice off road sites the setup i have with extra spaces will do OR am i knocking on the door of being a tight *** with the ? and i should really go for a proper 3'' lift kit?

I love my 3 in bb. For what your doing you should be fine. Once the lift is in check your articulation and see if you need different shocks, with stock springs, and running a sway bar, I would bet you'll be just fine.

Thanks Badbird..

Am I better of sticking to the same brand as in RC for the extra 1.5'' or do you recommend some different?

So were hoping that everything else I have as in 'Stock' OE should be ok
