exhaust modification

What effect will installing headers and larger exhaust would have on ecu? Will this cause any problems that will not program themselves to correct?

I don't think it will hurt your ecu. But I do know that performance exhaust relieves the back pressure off of an engine, making it generate power more efficiently, but in doing this you can cook your exhaust valves, they get too much hot exhaust on them at once and it shortens their life. Make sure you get an exhaust specifically designed for your jeep, and make sure it doesn't void your warranty (most of the time it does).

well im not woried about the warranty issue does any one see any other problems with a good exhaust. And also do you see any problems with not running a cat its on a 98 grand 5.9. Also does any one have any input on a good sounding/performing muffler/ total exhaust
