evap. canister

I have a 2003 Grand cherokee and I have that evap. canister or whatever it is in the drivers side corner in the rear bumper.. is there a way I can take that out and plug up the lines without throwing a code???

i dont think so. my friend got stuck and hooked up a tow strap to the canister bracket thinking it was the frame and i yanked him out along with the bracket and canister. we spliced the lines together which threw a code and also plugged them which threw a code. but lemme know if u get any other answers im curious what to do. he dosnt wanna buy a new one lol
