Erratic Turn Signal...

Almost failed inspection b/c of my right turn signal blinks erratically when engaged. Doesn't look like any of the bulbs are out...what else could it be?

I've heard to check the "relay" which means almost nothing to me b/c I have no clue what that is...

If you've seen something similar, let me know...

Thanks in advance,
Tonto

flasher, bulb, wiring, or the multifunction switch.

i'd start with the bulbs and wiring. does it do it exclusively with the lights on or off or any time?

my car was doing that, bad ground at the bulb.

'97 zj 5.2, some stuff, some other suff, and some things that even work sometimes.

right turn signal it'll flash very fast...left turn signal will work normally. But after sitting at a long light, it'll just stay on and stop flashing.

Also, I forgot to add...My Hazards will work for about :30 seconds, then will just stay on as well...

So, technically they all work...But, only for about :30 seconds, and will remain on after that. Right turn signal just flashes fast.
