Engine swap today.

I'm putting a 95 ZJ 4.0 into my 97 ZJ today. Any differences I need to be aware of?

Why would the electronics matter? The intake manifold and the distributor can be used from the 97, and that's where the electronics all interface with the engine. Or is this wrong?

I have a 93 4.0 in my 97. Youll have to do some elctronic work. Some of my sensors are 93, some are 97

Okay thanks everyone. I'm obviously not very good with cars I'm only 19 and just trying to learn. I got the good engine pulled and a mechanic buddy of mine said he would pull the other one and put the good one in for $300 so I think I'm gonna leave it to the experts. After that I'll still only have $800 in it and its a good looking jeep. I'll post pictures when I get it back. Should be about a week from now.

That's not bad price wide at all!! I got quoted $275 by a shop to press out TWO BUSHINGS. Did it my self instead. if you have space time and a hole burning in you wallet. These vehicle are a joy to work on.
