Engine Bay Love

Anyone do anything special to their bays? Like a light shave, painted valve covers or other artistic things, exotic parts (turbo/SC) or even a full shave? I have to get in there soon to replace my VC gasket, exhaust manifold and might as well clean up and degrease while I'm at it. I saw a pic of a fire engine red valve cover on a 4.0 and as simple as it was it actually looked pretty dope.

Just looking for some inspiration!

I am getting one of those, but black. I have that ugly khaki color on my 96 Jeep GC, and I dont think the red would match it very well. I am also doing the upgrade to the 99 Intake manifold, and I am hoping to find a black painted one, but we will see.

That is nice. I'm going to be painting (plasti-dipping) my ZJ matte black so I feel the red would go well with that. Otherwise red and forest green would be a big no no!

You should paint it a bright color so you can see oil leaks easier. Mopar blue or orange look great. Red looks good too.

forumrunner_20130507_171458.jpg

...I Jus use the dirt to tell me where the me fluid comes from(knock on wood)! It's on the trails so much I would have to detail it as much as I mow the lawn.......which is a lot in Florida....

When I pulled my head, I painted it red and did a little matching paint and accessories under the hood.

If/when I have to change engines, my new one will have a Chrysler red block and head, and black wrinkle valve cover. Polished intake would be nice but probably not gonna happen.
