Engine Bay light staying on --- dead battery this morning

Yesterday I was under my Jeep and I happened to notice the engine bay light was on, even though the hood was closed.

I forgot about it and then this morning my battery was dead. Jumped it and it was fine but I verified that the light was still remaining on with the hood closed.

Any ideas? I've unplugged it for now, so hopefully there isn't anything else draining current. I guess we'll find out in the morning!

pretty common, the switch wears out, happened to me, so i just installed a hood light that has a switch on it, actually i wound up adding 2. i can pretty much do anything under my hood at night.

That's a nice setup!

Can you give me any more info on how you rigged up two lights? What kind of bulbs are they?
