Electrical Lock system is funky

Ok so whomever owned this thing before I did seemed to have been in the special category of the Human gene pool. I guess they wanted remote control door locks and decided to wire a system into the jkeep with relay boxes and such that they left bare and stripped sometime i assume before selling it to my brother i am guessing heh. At first NONE of the doorlocks would work. Now after removing some of these phantom boxes I have gotten the back door to auto lock and unlock.

My question to you guys is , has anyone here by chance had to almost gut their entire lock system and redo it before? If so what would the workload look like or am I overthinking it and is there a much easier route to go. Thanks all.

If you could provide pictures of the boxes that would probably be a lot easier for people to help. If you can't post them to the forum, I believe you can set up a free account with photobucket or some similar website and just post a link on here.

I would guess it wouldn't be too hard to do. All you should have to do is clip all the wires where they tapped in to factory harness, pull it all out and then tape everything up so nothing touches. If they destroyed the factory harness, I would just replace the whole harness.
