E3 Spark-plugs
Hey all.
So my plugs currently have just a tad over 15k on them and I plan on changing them out in a couple of months. At the current moment I run Bosch +4 plugs and my jeep drives great. I've been wondering if I should switch to the "new" E3 plugs that they sell. Anyone use these or have any comments about them? They seem like a good investment if they increase the old MPG on my jeep. Getting 20+ would be a nice thing. (getting 19.5 at the moment). Jan

I run the E3s on my redline, but it's a higher compression engine. For the Jeep I've never found anything better for my WJ than just some NGK coppers. There's lots of opinions out there, and I've ran platinums and this and that, but the plain old NGK copper power v or whatever seem to work great.

+4 plugs are worthless and do nothing for you
go back to a standard 1 prong plug and you will be much better off

Ok guys I know that +4's don't do crap to my car. I use them because I like using them, I always have since I started doing my own tune ups years ago. I understand they aren't what they claim they are. That's not what the question was here. I asked if anyone used E3's on their jeep.

Yes. Ive used them on my ZJ and replaced them with Wal-Mart Autolites only 3 months ago. THEY SUCK for ZJs. My Jeep misfired at redlights. Not loud and audible... more of a thud, like being rearended lightly. It took me 3 months of searching this forum before I realized it was not my rearend or tranny, most ZJs like cheap plugs. As soon as I removed the pimpdaddy plugs and installed cheap ones my jeep ran like new. Before you waste your money on blingplugs I suggest you search this forum for ZJ Sparkplugs. You will find that some like the fancy plugs, but the majority of ZJs like Autolite and champion plugs. Just think of your jeep as a cheap date or a low maintnance woman (for now)
